Automatic Detection of the Current Language

This article is part of the Pluro Knowledge Center. Follow the applicable steps for your licensed website and verify accessibility through both automated and human testing.

Our system supports multiple languages and automatically identifies the website’s language based on the HTML language tag. To use this feature:

  1. Ensure the language tag is correctly set in the <html> element of your page
    <html lang="en-US">).
  2. If your site does not comply with W3C standards, activate this feature in the Pluro Lens control panel to enable automatic language identification and adjustment.

Proper language detection significantly enhances site accessibility for users speaking different languages.

Validation checklist

  • Test keyboard access and visible focus.
  • Check the relevant semantics with a screen reader or accessibility tree.
  • Verify on real content and in dynamic states; automated checks alone are insufficient.
